This depiction of Metroplex would go on to inform the original IDW continuity, and the 2012 More than Meets the Eye annual applied this concept to an entire "species" of gigantic, city-sized Transformers. Two years later, Fall of Cybertron would similarly reintroduce Metroplex, depicting him as an ancient Transformer from a bygone era of the planet's history. Though a number of Japanese-exclusive stories and toys would introduce other cityformers into the mix, redecoing Metroplex and Fortress Maximus into new characters like Metrotitan and Brave Maximus, the concept gradually fell by the wayside until 2010, when the Aligned continuity family brought a new version of Trypticon back into the fore as one of the final bosses of the War for Cybertron video game. More powerful than even the strongest combiner and capable of bringing an entire army's worth of firepower to bear, Titans are living arsenals of exotic weapons and arcane technologies that outmatch a score of lesser Cybertronians. Titans, also known as cityformers, Metrotitans, or Megamasters, are gigantic 'bots, capable of transforming into colossal starships and even entire cities.
